Our ambition: Sustainable growth, sound management, and meaningful environmental progress
In the face of profound global transformations — both social and climatic — ARGAN is focusing on resilience by relying on a model built around sustainable and energy-efficient logistics assets. The company places major importance on ESG issues, communicating transparently about its commitments for 2030 through a roadmap launched in 2023. This project engages all employees and, since 2025, has incorporated ESG criteria into variable compensation (profit-sharing and Free Share Allocation plans).
Aymar de Germay
ARGAN's General Secretary
At ARGAN, our 2023–2030 ESG strategy embodies a simple conviction: sustainable performance is not just another objective — it is the path through which we build the logistics of tomorrow — responsible, innovative, and mindful of its environment.
Roadmap Pillars and 2024 Progress Update
A roadmap built through dialogue
with our stakeholders
To implement its 2023–2030 ESG roadmap, ARGAN consulted its main stakeholders. This participatory approach was carried out by an independent external partner to ensure the quality of the content and the accurate representation of the various viewpoints. It took shape through the completion of:
- A detailed mapping of relevant stakeholders;
- Customized questionnaires covering the actions, issues, expectations, and ambitions of each stakeholder across the three ESG pillars;
- An extensive consultation was carried out with 21 external stakeholders — including clients, suppliers, local authorities, financial partners, and professional organizations — together with ARGAN’s extended management team. In total, 25 interviews were conducted with representatives of these organizations and ARGAN staff;
- A complementary desk analysis of these stakeholders’ policies and commitments on key topics — particularly carbon strategy — along with a review of best practices within the industry.

ARGAN addresses a wide range of ESG challenges through a development model built around Aut0nom®, The net zero carbon warehouse in operation, based on the self-consumption of locally produced photovoltaic energy combined with battery storage, electric heat pumps, and LED lighting — reducing CO₂ emissions from energy consumption by a factor of ten compared with a standard warehouse. The remaining emissions are offset through a reforestation project in France, located in Cestas near Bordeaux. All new ARGAN developments are intended to be certified Aut0nom® upon delivery.
