Commitments built on shared standards
Across environmental, social, and governance matters, ARGAN has structured its approach around recognized and widely adopted frameworks:
- Regarding the Environmental aspect, ARGAN has built its 2023–2030 carbon trajectory on science, aligning it with a 1.5°C global warming scenario in accordance with the Paris Agreement. The company is rolling out Aut0nom®-certified net zero carbon warehouses in operation and, since 2025, has aimed for all new projects to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification;
- On Social and Societal matters, ARGAN naturally complies with French law and all fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) applicable to its activities. Beyond compliance, ARGAN is firmly committed — notably through its contractual documents — to upholding universal human rights;
- Regarding Governance, ARGAN is structured to create the conditions necessary for its development while upholding the principles of good governance. The company adheres to and applies the MIDDLENEXT Corporate Governance Code for listed companies, and also draws inspiration from the AFEP-MEDEF Code, updated in December 2022. ARGAN has implemented rigorous policies, charters, and procedures to prevent corruption and conflicts of interest. The company is firmly committed to a zero-tolerance approach to any form of corruption.

Actions contributing to shared goals
Sustainable Development Goals
In 2023, ARGAN committed to the United Nations Global Compact and its ten principles relating to human rights, labour standards, the environment, and the fight against corruption.
In 2024, ARGAN published its first Communication on Progress (COP). Beyond this, ARGAN wanted its ESG strategy to take into account the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Given its business activities, size, and relatively small number of employees (around thirty), ARGAN has chosen to focus its actions on the following five Sustainable Development Goals:

ARGAN will contribute to France’s renewable energy objectives by installing significant photovoltaic capacity on the roofs of its warehouses and on their parking areas, primarily for self-consumption purposes. At the same time, the company will reduce the final energy consumption of its sites in collaboration with its tenant clients.

ARGAN will contribute to the overall resilience of supply chain infrastructures as well as to the reindustrialization of France, bringing operations closer to end users and customers. The company will continue to drive innovation both in the development of its projects and in the services provided to warehouse users.

ARGAN will ensure compliance with environmental regulations within its scope of activity, in collaboration with all its stakeholders. The company will develop new concepts aimed at limiting land artificialization and will pay particular attention to optimizing the co-benefits of its activities for the regions in which they are established.

ARGAN is firmly committed to limiting its greenhouse gas emissions by aligning its low-carbon strategy with the SBTi. At the same time, the company will work on adapting its warehouses to the consequences of climate change, focusing both on their resilience and on the well-being of their users.

ARGAN will strengthen its focus on biodiversity protection and work to restore it wherever possible. The company will develop a plan to limit land artificialization and to reduce impacts during the construction and rehabilitation of its warehouses.
More specifically regarding biodiversity protection, ARGAN submitted its Biodiversity Action Plan in 2024. This plan is built around eight new commitments for 2030, with feedback expected from the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) in the first half of 2025. The Group is a member of the ‘Entreprises Engagées pour la Nature’ initiative (subject to OFB confirmation).
A recognized strategy
ARGAN’s strategy is reflected in the improved assessment of its ESG performance by leading extra-financial rating agencies, including Sustainalytics and Ethifinance.
Furthermore, ARGAN has initiated its rating process with GRESB, with an initial score expected to be published during the 2025 assessment period. The company was also rated for the first time by EcoVadis, from which it received a Silver status, placing it among the top 15% of companies assessed by this independent organization.
